Runtime Error 21

If you ask any tech guy, what a runtime error is, you will find that most of them know what it is and will give you an in-depth explanation. For those that are not aware, runtime is basically used to express the implementation of a program that is running on your computer, starting with the time this program loads, right up to the time that it stops running.

There are a number of runtime errors, and it’s easy to distinguish each from the other as they are each assigned a unique number to it.

When you use your computer a lot and you are downloading games and other programs you are making changes to your computer. When these changes occur on a regular basis they can create an unstable system. This will result in the Runtime Error 21. To fix this you have to go back to a place before you made all the changes with a system restore.

Many people claim to have got the  runtime error 21 after they opened some unknown message on Facebook, and believe it to be a virus. On using their virus scan to check for viruses they did not find anything. On delving further they were told, doing a system restore would be helpful.

The system restore acts like an undo button and it can be done quickly and easily. Anytime you want to remove some of the changes that your system made you can use the System Restore command. This will not affect any of the personal data files you created like your MS Word documents, drawings, favorites or others but it will take away the programs that you downloaded. It will take care of the Runtime Error 21 error.

System Restore works because your computer will take a picture of the configurations so that you can go back to a point where you remember your computer reacting regularly. When you click on it you will get a calendar that will tell you how to go back to the original date before you had the problem.

To get to System Restore use the All Programs menu. To do this, click on the Start Menu, and go to All Programs. At that point look for Accessories and click on System Tools. You will find the System Restore inside System Tools and once you click on it the System Restore Wizard will tell you step by step what to do.

System Restore is the easiest way to fix the Runtime Error 21 error and to restore your computer back to its previous function. You may decide that you want to add some of the programs back onto your computer and if so, don’t reinstall the one that gave you the problem.

Now there are those who believe that a system restore is not really going to help you. They feel this way because they say that most people don’t know when they’ve last created a system restore point, and if they are regular with it. A number of tech guys advice using a registry cleaner to clear up your registry as most of the problems lie there with people not cleaning up their registries regularly.

If you’re not sure what to do, seek the assistance of a professional.
